These Terms govern your use of Mixee ("Mixee", "Service"), operated by Mixee (Sole Proprietor) ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who you are contracting with

2. The Service
Mixee is an AI mastering tool for music producers. We provide automatic mastering of audio files ("Free" and "Pro" tiers), reference-track matching, and related features. Limits, output formats, and quotas per plan are described on our pricing page.
3. Eligibility & account
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).
- If using Mixee on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not allow others to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe intellectual property rights of others.
- Upload content you do not have rights to master or distribute.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to breach the Service's security; deploy malware; or scrape the Service.
- Resell, redistribute, or expose the Service to third parties as a hosted service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models.
- Circumvent quotas, anti-fraud measures, or device/IP rate limits.
5. Your content & rights to outputs
You retain all rights to audio you upload and to the masters Mixee produces from your audio. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and transform your audio solely to provide the Service. You are solely responsible for your inputs and how you use the outputs, including verifying that you have the rights necessary to distribute the resulting masters.
If a rights holder believes content on Mixee infringes their rights, they may contact us at hello@mixee.de. We will review takedown requests in good faith, and may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe.
6. AI outputs — accuracy disclosure
Mixee's mastering is automated. Outputs may not always meet your subjective preferences and may contain artefacts. Mixee is a creative tool and is not a substitute for professional mastering engineers in regulated or high-stakes contexts. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before use.
7. Payments, subscriptions and billing
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, subscription term, automatic renewal, taxes, invoicing, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, supplemented by our own Refund Policy.
You can cancel a subscription at any time via the customer portal (paddle.net) or via your account settings in Mixee. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
8. Free tier limits
The Free tier is limited to 10 MP3 masters total per account, with file-size and format restrictions described on the pricing page. Anti-abuse measures (email verification, device fingerprint, IP rate limit, Turnstile) may block or rate-limit usage we identify as fraudulent.
9. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure operation. We may perform maintenance, change features, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice where practical.
10. Intellectual property
Mixee, including its software, models, branding, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own music projects in accordance with these Terms.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- You materially breach these Terms or our acceptable use rules.
- Payment fails or is reversed (chargeback).
- We reasonably believe your use poses a security or fraud risk.
- Required by law or by a competent authority.
On termination, your access ends. You may request export of your remaining masters within 30 days, after which data may be deleted.
12. Warranties & liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us (via Paddle) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
14. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence remain unaffected. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts at our registered seat, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
16. Assignment
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
17. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including outages of upstream providers, natural disasters, or government actions.
